Town Hall meetings planned regarding Conservation Easements
A conservation easement is a voluntary agreement that permanently limits the use of land parcels to protect their conservation values. Placing a conservation easement on a piece of land allows the owner to continue to control it as private property, but usually not develop it. The owner can also take advantage of a tax deduction.
Find out more about Conservation Easements by attending one of the following Town Hall meetings:
Monday, December 1 – Paxton Agricultural Center
Tuesday, December 2 – Freeport Commons, 902 State Hwy 20, Suite 102
Wednesday, December 3 – South Walton Coastal Library
Monday, December 8 – Courthouse Boardroom in DeFuniak Springs
All meetings begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
