Jones, Vincent Pace Alabama on Third Night of UGA Fall Invite

ATHENS, Ga. –  A trio of first-place finishes highlighted the third night of competition for the Alabama swimming and diving team at the UGA Fall Invite.

Emily Jones recorded a career-best time in the 100 backstroke to win the event by over a second as Cadence Vincent paced a trio of Alabama swimmers in the women’s 50 free, securing the top time of the event.

The women’s 400 medley relay team recorded UA’s third first-place finish in a teamed race as the quartet of Jones, Jada Scott, Gaby Van Brunt and Vincent finished first by eighth hundredths of a second.

Alabama heads into the final day of competition in fourth place on the women’s side with 426.5 points, while the men are in fifth place with 325.
