Four Seminoles Earn All-Region Honors

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Florida State cross country team competed at the NCAA South Regional Championship at John Hunt Park on Friday morning. Bieke Schipperen earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive year, while Rylee Blade, Suus Altorf, and Isaac Hirshman Chandler captured the accolade for the first time in their careers.  
Blade led the Florida State women across the finish line in seventh with a personal-best time of 19:29.1, marking the highest individual finish by a true freshman since Elizabeth Funderburk in 2019. Schipperen followed in ninth, posting a career-best time of 19:40.9. Altorf was the third FSU scorer to boast a lifetime best at 19:55.7, finishing in 19th. Nicole Dinan posted a personal-best of 20:43.8 for 50th and Maggie Bartlow rounded out Florida State’s top five in 77th with a career-best 21:13.6.
 
The women’s team finished in sixth overall with 157 points.
 
Hirshman Chandler paved the way for the men’s 10k for the fourth consecutive race, finishing in 12th with a time of 29:49.5. Kaden Levings placed 30th with a new personal-best at 30:28.6 with Lucas Bouquot following Levings in 50th with a career-best of 30:58.8. Aidan Ryan was the fourth FSU scorer in 82nd at 31:44.9 and Gino Palazzolo concluded the scoring for Florida State in 111th with a time of 32:32.6.
 
The men’s team placed 10th overall with 270 points.
 
The NCAA Championship field will be unveiled on Saturday at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com
