Be Early, Wear The Band, Be A Part Of The Action!
ATHENS, Ga. — The UGA Athletic Association will distribute 65,000 PixMob wristbands pregame at Sanford Stadium on Saturday in a giveaway powered by Delta.
Distribution will begin at 5:30 p.m. when the gates open on Saturday. Wristbands will be given out at gates 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats 25:00 out from kickoff since the illuminated wristbands will begin to be featured soon after that mark.
In addition, John Bell of Athens’ own Widespread Panic will be singing the national anthem 13:00 out from kickoff.
PixMob wristbands are LED wristbands that are synchronized to create colors and patterns in the crowd in real-time through infrared light or radio frequency technology. The wristbands are made of recycled plastics and can be recycled and refurbished after the game.
The No. 5 Bulldogs (8-1, 6-1 SEC) will play host to No. 10 Texas (7-2, 4-1) on Saturday. ABC will televise the matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium. SEC Nation will also visit Athens for the second time this season and be set up at Myers Quad.
