GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams are set to compete in the NCAA South Regional at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. on Friday, November 14, 2025. The top-two finishing teams for both men and women will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship race in Columbia, Mo. on Nov. 22.

The race will begin with the Women’s 6k at 9:30 a.m. ET, as the men follow with their first 10k of the season at 10:30 a.m. ET.

The South Regional serves as the next step in what has been a remarkable 2025 postseason for the Gators. Just two weeks ago in Knoxville, Tenn., the women’s cross country team captured the SEC Championship, securing the program’s eighth conference title.

Reigning South Regional Champion Hilda Olemomoi looks to defend her title after a standout performance at last year’s meet. Judy Chepkoech, the 2025 SEC silver medalist, will join Olemomoi at the line after leading the Orange and Blue in the conference championship just two weeks prior. She’ll be accompanied by consistent top ten performer Tia Wilson, as the Gators aim to extend their postseason momentum.

On the men’s side, Kelvin Cheruiyot returns to the line, after being named the men’s individual SEC Champion with his successful stint in Knoxville, Tenn. Cheruiyot boasts two first place wins in his last three meets after additionally taking the title at Missouri Pre-Nats on Oct. 18. The men’s 10k will also feature Oussama Allaoui and Jonathan Leon who finished with Cheruiyot as the Gators’ top three runners their last time out.
