Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 10
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The National Football League concluded Week 10 of the regular season Monday evening. Below is a look at how former Alabama players performed on the gridiron last week.
Running back Jahmyr Gibbs put together a complete performance on Sunday afternoon, converting 15 carries into 142 yards and two touchdowns. He also hauled in three receptions for 30 yards and a score, helping the Detroit Lions to a dominant 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders.
Gibbs’ teammates had similarly productive days, including wide receiver Jameson Williams and defensive back Brian Branch. Williams had his most explosive outing of the year, catching six passes for a season-high 119 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side, Branch totaled seven tackles, including 1.5 sacks and a tackle for loss, to go with two quarterback hurries.
Wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Jaylen Waddle impressed on Sunday, with Jeudy notching six catches for a season-high 78 yards and one score. Waddle continued his recent surge, closing the afternoon with seven receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown to lift his Miami Dolphins squad to a 30-13 upset win over the Buffalo Bills. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones had another impressive showing against the Los Angeles Rams, completing 33-of-39 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns.
Up front, Houston linebacker Henry To’oto’o filled the stat sheet with four tackles, including a half sack, one tackle for loss, a pass deflection and one quarterback hurry in the Texans’ 36-29 comeback win over the Jaguars. Jonathan Allen also contributed pressure for the Minnesota Vikings, as the veteran defensive tackle tallied four tackles, including one sack and two tackles for loss, to go with a quarterback hurry. Green Bay Packers’ safety Xavier McKinney closed the week strong on Monday Night Football, finishing his evening with seven tackles.
