Alabama Inks a Pair of All-American Golfers to its 2026 Signing Class
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Jay Seawell announced Wednesday the signing of a pair of golf standouts in Rolex Boys All-Americans Phillip Dunham and Bailey Sutter. The duo will join the program for the 2026-27 season after both had standout prep careers.
“I am excited about our 2026 signing class,” head coach Jay Seawell said. “When building a championship program, you need to have obviously recruit talented young men, but you also have to find guys that have the character to be a great teammate and an asset to the University of Alabama. Bailey and Phillip are young men who I believe give us a great opportunity to win championships while also having the character to represent Alabama Golf in a positive manner. I am thankful to Bailey and Phillip for their commitment to Alabama golf and faith in us to help them develop their golf to highest level.”

- A three-time Rolex Junior All-American (2023, 2024, 2025)
- Named to the United States National Junior Team
- A three-time member of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Wyndham Cup – an event that brings 40 of the nation’s top junior golfers to compete in Ryder Cup-style event
- A two-time AJGA Champion, claiming medalist honors at the 2023 Pete Dye Junior Invitational and the 2024 Sea Pines Junior Heritage, winning by seven strokes
- Earned four victories in 2023
- Holds the record for most U.S. Kids Golf World Championships won all-time with six victories (2014-2018, 2020)
- A four-time Doral-Publix Junior Classic Champion
- Rallied from four shots back to claim the 2018 IMG Junior World Championship
- Named Florida State Golf Association Team Florida five times (2021-25)
- Qualified for the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort
- Competed in the 2022 and 2024 U.S. Junior Amateur Championships
- Ranked No. 30 in the AJGA rankings
- A right-hander but plays golf left-handed

I love how he plays the game. Phillip is a big athletic kid who plays an aggressive and long hitting style and I believe his best golf is still to come. Bailey Sutter | Cullman, Ala. | Home Schooled
- A three-time Rolex Junior All-American (2023, 2024, 2025), earning second team honors this past season
- Won the 2025 Alabama State Amateur by a four-shot margin with a 17-under 271 (65-68-68-70)
- Captured medalist honors at the 5A Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Championship, winning by five strokes over his brother, Rawlin
- His sister, Brooklyn, finished in third at the AHSAA Class 4A-5A division that same year
- The victory earned an exemption to the 2025 U.S. Amateur at The Olympic Club
- Claimed medalist honors at the 2025 Southern Junior Championship
- Collected five top five finishes in 2025, including a fifth-place finish at the Ralph Lauren Junior Classic
- Runner-up in the 2024 Alabama Boys State Junior at WynLakes Golf & Country Club
- Also finished runner-up at the 2024 Boys Junior PGA Championship
- Finished inside the top 17 in six different AJGA events, including a fourth-place finish in the Justin Thomas Junior and a seventh-place result in the Junior Players Championship
