The City of Destin Public Works Department would like to inform residents and motorists that H&T will resume construction work on Airport Road tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11. Crews will be completing the milling of the one remaining lane.

On Wednesday, Nov 12t, H&T will conduct detailed milling work around existing manholes and water valves to ensure a level surface for the new asphalt.

Paving operations are scheduled to begin on Thursday and are expected to take approximately 2–3 days to complete, weather permitting. During this time, motorists may experience temporary delays and are encouraged to reduce speed in the work zone.

Once paving is complete, temporary striping will be placed on the roadway at the earliest opportunity.

The City of Destin will continue to provide updates as the Airport Road project progresses and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this important infrastructure improvement.
