Noles Fall at No. 1/1 UConn
Florida State had three players scoring in double figures, led by Sole Williams, who contributed 14. Allie Kubek and Jasmine Shavers each had 11.
The Seminoles finished the game converting 12 three-point shots, the most this season. Led by Kubek and Shavers, who posted three each, it was the fifth-highest total in program history.
Emma Risch finished with eight points and three blocks, which was a new career high. Pania Davis also added nine points and led the team with six boards.
In the first quarter, the Seminoles started the game 3-of-5 from three but trailed the Huskies 23-13. Out of the quarter break, Davis worked underneath for the basket before Kubek drained her second three of the game. FSU pulled within six, 29-23 after free throws from Risch, but UConn used an 18-2 stretch to pull away. In the third, FSU added 21 points and outscored the Huskies 19-16 in the fourth.
The Seminoles will host Nicholls State for the annual Education Game on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Donald L.Tucker Civic Center.
