Bulldogs Earn Four Wins in Three Tournaments

- In the singles round of 32, No. 100 Sofia Rojas secured a two-set win to advance to the round of 16, knocking off Kentucky’s No. 20 Zoe Hammond, 6-3, 6-4. This marks Rojas’ seventh ranked victory this fall.
- Following the singles contest, the Bulldogs pair of Deniz Dilek and Emma Dong competed in doubles, only for the second time this season together, cruising past Vanderbilt’s Erin Pearce and Mia Yamakita, 6-4, 6-2.
- The third victory of the day came from No. 28 Aysegul Mert, competing on behalf of the Southeastern Conference at ITA Conference Masters. Mert defeated Amahee Charrier from the University of Nevada, 6-3, 7-5 and will head to the quarterfinals.
- Anastasiia Gureva advances to the quarterfinals of W35 Orlando after defeating Lani Chang, 6-1, 6-0.

Mert will open the day competing in quarterfinals at ITA Conference Masters at 10:00 a.m. ET. The Georgia women’s team will continue with day two at the ITA Sectionals on Friday, Nov. 7 with Rojas set to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET. Dilek and Dong will close out the day with doubles quarterfinals at 5:00 p.m. ET. Gureva will also compete in the quarterfinals at W35 Orlando against Akasha Urhobo on Friday Nov. 7, time TBD.
