GAINSVILLE, Fla. – Six members of the Florida men’s and women’s cross country teams earned All-SEC honors following standout performances at the SEC Championships on Friday, Oct. 31.

Freshman Kelvin Cheruiyot led the way for the Gators, capturing the individual conference title and securing spots on both the All-SEC First Team and the All-Freshman SEC Team. Cheruiyot became the first Florida man to earn first-team honors since Jimmy Clark in 2015 and the first male Gator since 2023 to be named to the All-Freshman team.

The 2025 SEC Champions placed five athletes across four All-SEC teams. Judy Chepkoech and Hilda Olemomoi each earned First Team All-SEC honors after finishing among the top seven competitors. Olemomoi’s recognition marks her second consecutive first-team selection as a Gator and the fourth consecutive of her collegiate career. With these honors, Florida’s women have now produced first-team All-SEC selections for four consecutive seasons.

Tia Wilson and Desma Chepkoech claimed Second Team All-SEC honors after finishing among the top ten in the championship race, while Reagan Gilmore earned Third Team All-SEC recognition following her 18th-place finish that helped secure Florida’s eighth SEC team title.

The first team for each gender includes the top-seven finishers, while the second team consists of the next seven finishers (8-14), and the third team consists of finishers 15-21. The top-seven freshman finishers in each race earn All-Freshman honors.
