EXPLORE FSU SPORTS HISTORY ON NEW TEAM SITE: SeminoleRewind.com
Tallahassee – Florida State University Athletics, along with Heritage Werks, announce the launch of SeminoleRewind.com. This online archive tells the story of FSU Athletics through rare and historic items that have been collected by the university, fans and players over the last 80 years. Seminole fans, history buffs, alumni, sports enthusiasts and trivia connoisseurs can explore the site.
“We are excited to be able to offer this unique collection to our fans,” said FSU Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford. “The site is like a visit through a virtual FSU museum, and this is just the start. Visit the site and you can see, for instance, Ron Simmons’ helmet, basketballs and uniforms from memorable games, game programs from years past, and so much more.”
SeminoleRewind.com launches with hundreds of unique items showcasing the history of FSU sports. The materials on display include rare glimpses of game-used gear, images and photos, official team publications and promotional items, one-of-a-kind mementos from FSU greats and more. Fans can explore galleries such as Heisman winners, championship seasons, iconic uniforms, honored jerseys and game-used equipment. Visitors will also find quick reference sheets, including timelines of FSU football and basketball history highlights and all-time player lists. Additional collections for both men’s and women’s sports will launch throughout the coming year.
Since FSU intercollegiate athletics began in 1947, the University, alumni, families and fans have been collecting objects, photographs and memorabilia related to the university’s incredible athletic legacy. In 2024, FSU brought in a specialist partner, Heritage Werks, to help communicate that story. The result is a robust site designed to grow continually and share highlights from FSU history with Noles fans.
This site is a key part of the University’s efforts to look toward the future while honoring FSU Athletics’ heritage. Fans are invited to explore SeminoleRewind.com as well as NoleFan.org, where they can relive their favorite team memories, share items with fellow fans and celebrate nearly 80 incredible seasons.
