Florida men’s basketball sophomore guard Boogie Fland has been named to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Top 20 Preseason List, the Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Monday. The Cousy Award is part of the Naismith Starting 5 positional awards
 
Fland transferred to UF this offseason after averaging 13.5 points and 5.1 assists with a 3.72 assist-to-turnover ratio in 21 games during his freshman season at Arkansas. A native of Bronx, N.Y., Fland also picked up preseason second-team All-SEC recognition from media voters.
 
The Cousy Award has been presented since 2004, and the Gators’ Walter Clayton Jr. was among the five finalists for the 2024-25 season.

All Gators Weekend Pack
The All Gators Weekend Pack is now available, which includes the Florida men’s basketball game against Merrimack on Friday, November 21, and the Florida football game against Tennessee on Saturday, November 22, for only $149 plus taxes/fees.
