Women’s Golf Wraps Up Day One of the Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Alabama women’s golf team wrapped up the first round of the Landfall Tradition, sitting in a tie for 10thplace at 7-over par 295. Mattison Frick and Harriet Lockley led the way for the Crimson Tide, ending the day tied in 30th place on the player leaderboard at 1-over par 73.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Mattison Frick carded a 1-over par 71, ending the day in 30th place on the player leaderboard
  • Tied with Frick in 30th place is fellow teammate Harriet Lockley after recording a team-high 13 pars in the opening round
  • Natachanok Tunwannarux posted five birdies in the opening round of the tournament and sits tied for 39th at 2-over par 74
  • Amanda Gyllner posted the lowest average score (4.00, 4-under par) on Par 5 holes throughout the field, ending the day 46thoverall at 3-over par 75
  • Ryan Flynn rounded out UA’s lineup in 77th overall at 6-over par 78
  • Competing as an individual, Grace Crawford ended the first round in 84th place at 7-over par 79

TEAM RESULTS

  • No. 39 SMU sits in first place on the team leaderboard at 1-under par 283
  • Four players sit atop the player leaderboard tied for the lead at 3-under par 69
