Link Jarrett Affirms Commitment to FSU Baseball with New Contract Terms
TALLAHASSEE – Florida State Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford announced Thursday that FSU and Seminoles’ head baseball coach Link Jarrett have reached an agreement on a revised contract that solidifies Jarrett’s commitment to the program. Terms will be announced after the completion and ratification of the new agreement.
“Since the final out of our season in June, I have met constantly with FSU leadership to discuss ways for us to continue to enhance our program,” Jarrett said. “Their dedication and support to FSU baseball and myself is second to none. I am humbled and proud to be the leader of Seminole Baseball. I’m thankful to our amazing fan base, President Richard McCullough, Michael Alford, Peter Collins and the Board of Trustees, and Stephen Ponder as we continue to develop elite student-athletes and compete for championships.”
Jarrett, a 10-time conference Coach of the Year and a two-time national Coach of the Year, is a 1994 graduate of FSU. He has led the Seminoles for three seasons and engineered a remarkably successful turnaround. Jarrett has produced a 114-64 mark at FSU, winning 64 percent of his games while leading the Seminoles to two NCAA Super Regional appearances and the 2024 College World Series.
“Link’s performance as our head coach has been nothing short of outstanding,” Alford said. “His commitment to FSU and the baseball program embodies our unified and aligned relationship. It wouldn’t make sense for Link Jarrett to be anywhere else. He grew up in this community, played here, and married an FSU cheerleader. There’s no better place for Link and his family than Tallahassee, and we wanted to solidify that. He knows more than anyone what FSU baseball is all about, and he’s brought it to life on the field as our head coach. This is where he belongs.”
