C.J. Mosley to Represent Alabama in 2025 SEC Football Legends Class

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – C.J. Mosley was selected to represent The University of Alabama as part of the Southeastern Conference Football Legends Class of 2025, the league office announced Tuesday. Mosley is one of 16 former stars who excelled on the gridiron and helped write football’s rich history at the Capstone.

The class will be honored at the 2025 SEC Football “Weekend of Champions” on Dec. 5-6 in Atlanta, Ga. The event is highlighted by the annual SEC Legends Celebration on Friday, Dec. 5 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. The group will also be recognized prior to the SEC Football Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 6.

C.J. Mosley

Linebacker (2010-13)

  • Helped Alabama to two national championships in his three years as a starting linebacker for the Crimson Tide
  • Started 51 career games at the second level of the Alabama defense
  • A two-time All-America honoree who earned consensus All-American accolades in 2012 and unanimous honors in 2013
  • The 2013 winner of the Butkus Award, presented annually to the nation’s top linebacker
  • Garnered SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2013
  • Named a First Team All-SEC selection in his final two seasons in Tuscaloosa
  • Produced 319 career tackles as a member of the Crimson Tide, third-most in program history
  • Drafted 17th overall in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2014 NFL Draft
  • A First Team All-Pro selection (2018) as well as a five-time Second Team All-Pro honoree (2014, 2016-18, 2022-23) during his time with the Ravens and the New York Jets
  • Co-founded Legacy Trust Sports Group, where he continues to work following his 10-year NFL career
