Bulldogs in the NFL Week Seven

Last Updated: October 21, 2025By

ATHENS, Ga. – Week seven of NFL action is complete, and several former Bulldogs had exceptional performances for their respective teams.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is off to one of the best starts to a season in his career. On Sunday morning in London, England, Stafford set a new NFL record with five passing touchdowns, which is the most to be thrown in an international game in NFL history. In addition to Sunday’s performance, Stafford ranks third in the NFL in passing yards (1,866) and first in passing touchdowns with 17. Stafford now sits just six passing touchdowns away from 400 in his career, a feat that has only been achieved by eight other quarterbacks in NFL history.

Meanwhile, former Bulldogs defensive backs made big impacts for their teams as Tyson Campbell, Tykee Smith, and Kamari Lassiter all had strong showings. In just his second game with the Cleveland Browns, Campbell scored his first career touchdown on a 34-yard interception return. On Monday night Tykee Smith led the Buccaneers defense with 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack. Smith now ranks first amongst NFL defensive backs in total tackles with 58 on the year.
