Maison Smith Selected for U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team Training Camp

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Alabama’s Maison Smith was called up to the United States U-20 Women’s National Team training camp, the organization announced Monday.

The camp, being held Oct. 22-30 at the University of Kansas Health System Training Center, will feature 24 players. Smith was one of just 10 collegiate athletes to earn the invite to the national team training camp.

The latter part of the camp, Oct. 27-29, will be held concurrently with the senior USWNT’s visit to Kansas City for its match against New Zealand on Oct. 29 at CPKC Stadium. The U.S. U-20 WNT will attend that match.

  • She has helped Alabama shutout four teams, including Southeastern Conference foe Missouri
  • Smith tallied a career-high four shots against Lipscomb despite playing on the defensive side of the ball
  • The sophomore leads the team in minutes (1,385), playing the full 90 in 10 matches
  • With the help of Smith, Alabama has outpaced its opponents 301-174 in shots and 122-68 in shots on goal
