Seminoles Drop First Exhibition Game Against Alabama
 
A 7-0 run fueled by threes from Kobe MaGee and LaJae Jones gave Florida State a 48-47 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Seminoles scored 57 points, making eight threes.
Senior Guard Robert McCray V opened the scoring for the Seminoles and led the team in scoring with 26 points, 24 coming in the second half. McCray V worked hard to draw fouls and finished 9-13 from the free-throw line.
LaJae Jones and Chauncey Wiggins both recorded double-doubles. Jones scored 15 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 50% from the three-point line. Wiggins finished his night with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
In his first start as a Seminole, Kobe MaGee played 32 minutes and scored 14 points. Sophomore guard Martin Somerville finished with seven points and added two steals to his night.
The freshman tandem of Cam Miles and Thomas Bassong combined for 18 points in their first collegiate game. Miles tied Somerville’s team high of two steals in 18 minutes of play time.
Shah Muhammad showed his shot-blocking ability, finishing with a game-high two blocks.
The Seminoles return to the Tucker Center Sunday, October 26, to take on Florida A&M in their second exhibition game.
