BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– Alabama’s Melina Rebimbas picked up her first Southeastern Conference weekly honor after being named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Crimson Tide’s 4-3 victory over Auburn on Friday (10/10).

Rebimbas tallied two goals and an assist for a career-high five points in the match. Her first goal gave the Tide a 2-1 advantage, but after Auburn scored back-to-back goals to start the second half, Rebimbas netted the tying shot in the 82^nd minute. She would go on to help the Tide claim the victory, threading a pass through the Tiger’s defense for Gianna Paul to score the game winner in the 86^th minute.

• Rebimbas paced the Iron Bowl of Soccer in points, coming off the bench to score two goals and tally an assist
• She led both Alabama and Auburn in total shots with eight in the game, while only playing 56 minutes

• In addition to Rebimbas tallying a career-high five points, the performance marked her first collegiate brace
• The goals were her second and third of the season, while her assist moved her to a team-leading six on the year
• Her six assists place her third in the category against SEC opponents and fifth in the SEC for assists per game (0.40)
