Gators in the NFL: Week 5
Each week of the 2025-26 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.
Offense
Chimere Dike – WR – Tennessee Titans
Another week, another all-out performance by Chimere Dike. The rookie sensation racked up 186 yards on nine touches, including two receptions for 17 yards. Dike continues to lead the NFL in all-purpose and kick return yardage through five weeks, with over 100 more yards than the second-place player in both categories.

Anthony Richardson – QB – Indianapolis Colts
A familiar face popped up Sunday. Former No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson threw his first pass of the season … to himself, for a first down.

Defense
Alex Anzalone – LB – Detroit Lions
For the second week in a row, Anzalone stuffed the stat sheet. The veteran linebacker totaled three tackles, a TFL and a pressure. He also stood out in coverage, allowing negative one yards receiving on five targets with three pass breakups. Oh, and he also made this leaping interception:

Zachary Carter – DL – Arizona Cardinals
NFL coaches love to talk about instant-impact players, and it’s hard to imagine a better example than Friday Practice Squad elevation Zachary Carter. After being waived by the Raiders this offseason, Carter joined the Cards in mid-September, before getting the call-up days before Sunday’s game.
The former third-round pick went on to dominate across his 18 snaps at defensive tackle, earning a team-high 92.8 grade while forcing his second career fumble.
Special Teams
Eddy Piñeiro – K – San Francisco 49ers
Perfect Piñeiro! The former Gators kicker remained perfect on the season, knocking down six kicks (four FGs and two XPs) in prime time. Piñeiro has accounted for nearly half of San Francisco’s points in games he’s played this season (44%), including a game-winner and this go-ahead 59-yard boot.
IT IS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD‼️

Evan McPherson – K – Cincinnati Bengals
We can’t forget about the other former Gators kicker, Evan McPherson—the 2021 fifth-round pick connected on all four of his kicks (three XPs and one FG). After moving from 14th to sixth in all-time scoring for the Bengals last season, “Money Mac” is closing the gap on No. 5 despite playing in 18 fewer games than anyone in the top eight.
