Florida Track & Field Unveils 2026 Roster

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Track & Field program has announced its newest additions for the 2026 season. 

This year’s roster features standout transfers and rising stars who have experience competing on national and international stages.



Each athlete arrives in Gainesville prepared to build on Florida’s tradition of excellence and gear up for another season of championship-level competition.




Below is a short summary of each new individual.

Women:

Pauline Bikembo: (So.): Saint Lue La Foret, France | Heptathlon

Previous College: Iowa

  • First-team All-American and B1G Champion in pentathlon (2025)
  • B1G Indoor Freshman of the Year (2025)
  • Long Jump PR: 6.33 (20 ft. 9 1/4 in)
  • 60m Hurdles PR; 8.46
  • 100m Hurdles PR: 13.72
  • Heptathlon: 5,979

Jade Brown: (Jr.): Coral Springs, FL (Taravella High School) | Sprints
Previous College: Arizona

  • Competed in the 4x100m for Team USA at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru
  • Arizona school record holder in the Outdoor 100m and Indoor 60m 
  • 100m PR: 11.05
  • 60m PR: 7.23

Malia Campbell: (Fr.): Fairburn, GA (Landmark Christian School) | Sprints

  • 200m PR: 23.94
  • 400m PR: 53.82

Desma Chepkoech: (Fr.): Bomet, Kenya | Distance

  • Competed in the Kenya African U18 Trials in Nairobi
  • 3000m PR: 9:29.70
  • 5000m PR: 16:16.10

Judy Chepkoech: (So.): Bomet, Kenya | Distance
Previous College: Arizona State

  • Qualified for the 2024 U20 World Championships and 2024 U20 African Games XC Championships
  • Placed 30th at the 2024 NCAA XC Championships, earning her All American honors
  • Finished 4th at Big 12 Championships in 2024
  • 5000m PR: 15:21.22
  • 3000m PR: 8:59.58
  • 3000m Steeplechase PR: 51.44

Tyra Cox: (Fr.): Miami, FL (Miami Northwestern) | Sprints

  • 4x State Champion

Keeghan Edwards: (Fr.): Highlands Ranch, CO ( Mountain Vista High School) | Distance

  • Placed 4th at the Nike Cross Nationals 2024
  • Placed 4th at the 2024 New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2 Mile and was runner-up at state in the 3200m.
  • 1600m PR: 4:45.12
  • 3200m PR: 10:02.00
  • 5000m PR: 16:52.74

Sydney Sutton: (Fr.): Potomac, MD (Bullis School) | Sprints

  • Named the 2024-25 Washington Post All-Met Girls’ Track Athlete of the Year.
  • Won the 24-25 Gatorade Player of the Year Award for Maryland Girls Track and Field.
  • Placed 2nd in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor 400m dash and the 400m intermediate hurdles. 
  • US high school national record for girls indoor 4x400m relay with a time of 3:35.54.
  • Ranked number 2 nationally in the 200m dash in the spring of 25 (22.7)
  • 400m Hurdles PR: 56.04 (HS #8 all-time)
  • 200m PR: 22.70
  • 300m PR: 37.00

Isobelle Jones: (Fr.): Wolverhampton, England | Distance

  • Bronze medalist in the 1500m for Britain at the European U20 Championships.
  • Placed 2nd at ESAA English Schools 1500m in 2025
  • Qualified for 2024 European U20 Cross Country
  • Placed third in the 1500m at the 2025 UK U20 Championships.
  • 800m PR: 2:12.68
  • 1600m PR: 4:16.18
  • 3000m PR: 9:20.62

Payton Payne: (Fr.): Potomac, MD (Bullis School) | Sprints

  • US high school national record for girls indoor 4x400m relay with a time of 3:35.54.
  • 100m PR: 11.39
  • 200m PR: 23.56

Gabrielle Pierre: (Fr.):  Sudbury, MA (Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School) | Jumps

  • Ranked the #1 jumper in the class of 2025.
  • Ranked the #2 US triple jumper from the outdoor track season.
  • Holds the all-time record in Massachusetts in triple jump.
  • Triple Jump PR: 13.11m (43 ft. 1/4 in.)
  • Long Jump PR: 6.04m (19 ft. 9 3/4 in.)

Eden Robinson: (Fr.): Great Britain (Wales) | Heptathlon

  • Won the heptathlon at the 2024 British Athletics Championships and competed in the heptathlon for Great Britain at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships.
  • Received a silver medal in the 2023 England U17 heptathlon
  • Named Welsh junior athlete of the year in October of 2024
  • Heptathlon PR: 5648 pts

Aleesa Samuel: (Fr.): Pembroke Pines, FL (Somerset Academy) | Hurdles

  • 2023-24 Gatorade Girls Track and Field Florida Player of the Year. 
  • Placed 4th in the Nike Outdoor Nationals 100mH, 1st in the Bob Hayes Invitational 100mH, and 1st in the Brooks PR Invitational 100mH.
  • 55m Hurdles PR: 7.68
  • 60mH PR: 8.22
  • 100m Hurdles PR: 13.12
  • 100m PR: 11.67
  • 200m PR: 23.84

Claire Stegall: (Fr.): Nolensville, TN (Nolensville High School) | Distance

  • Ended her junior and senior season as the Tennessee Gatorade Track and Field Runner of the Year.
  • Named Tennessean Sports Awards Girls Athlete of the Year and the Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
  • Qualified for Footlocker Cross Country Championships in 2023
  • New Balance Outdoor 2023 Runner-Up in the mile
  • New Balance Indoor 2025 Runner-Up in the mile
  • 7x State Champion in track, 3x State Champion in cross country
  • 800m PR: 2:04.59
  • 1600m PR: 4:35.36
  • 3200m PR: 9:58.44

Marianna Wright: (Fr.): Albany, GA (Monroe High School) | Hurdles

  • GA 3A Record-holder for the 300mH (40.81).
  • 9-time State Champion and a 10-time National Champion in high school. 
  • 400m Hurdles PR: 48.81
  • 300m Hurdles PR: 40.81

Men:
Oussama Allaoui: (Fr.): Ifrane, Morocco | Distance

  • Participated in the Moroccan U18 Championships, placing 5th in the 300m and 2nd in the 2000mSC
  • Placed first in the 1500m at the 2023 Míting Internacional d’Atletisme Ciutat de Barcelona
  • 1500m PR: 3:38.47
  • 3000m PR: 8:19.04

Kelvin Cheruiyot: (Fr.): Samitui, Kenya | Distance

  • Placed 8th in the 5000m for the 2025 6th AK Track and Field Weekend Meeting/Relay Series.

Alejandro de Bastos: (Fr.): Pembroke Pines, FL (Pembroke Pines Charter) | Distance

  • Named BCAA Athlete of the Year in April of 2025
  • Placed fourth in the 800m at the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship in April of 2025
  • Finished second in the 800m in the 2024 State Championships

Ja’Neil Harris: (Fr.): High Point, NC (T.W. Andrews High School) | Sprints

  • Placed second in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2025 200m

Jaden Horton-Mims: (Fr.): Philadelphia, PA (Imhotep Institute Charter 12) | Sprints

  • His 32.92 indoor 300m holds a state record.
  • Won the Nike National Indoor 400m

  • 300m PR: 32.64
  • 400m PR: 45.24

Jordaine Johnson: (Fr.): East Orange, NJ (East Orange Campus HS) | Sprints

  • Won back-to-back 400m dashes at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Group 4 State Indoor Championships.
  • Placed first in the 200m and 400m at the 2025 NJSIAA’s State Indoor Meet of Champions.
  • Awarded the 67th annual Essex Award.
  • 100m PR: 10.4
  • 200m PR: 21.04
  • 400m: 46.89

Temoso Masikane: (Fr.): Phokeng, South Africa | Jumps

  • Finished fourth in the long jump at the 2024 World U-20 Championships and set an African U-18 record of 8.06m
  • Won Field Athlete of the Week after earning a 16.03m triple jump at the CAA U18/U20 African Championship.
  • Long Jump PR: 8.06m (26 ft. 5 1/4 in.)
  • Triple Jump PR: 16.03 (52 ft. 7 in.)
  • High Jump PR: 2.03m (6 ft. 8 in.)

Jesse Myers: (Fr.): State College PA (State College High School) | Sprints

  • New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals 200m and 400m Qualifier
  • Competed for Team USA at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru
  • 60m PR: 6.76
  • 100m PR: 10.34

Almond Small: (Sr.): Ontario, Canada | Sprints

Luke Stradley: (Fr.): Woodstock, GA (Etowah High School) | Jumps

  • Became a national champion after winning the long jump title at the 2025 Nike Indoor Nationals
  • Competed in the USATF U20 National Championships and the Nike Outdoor Championships, placing in three jumping events. 
  • Named to the Atlanta Track Club’s 2024 All-Metro Track and Field Team as Boys’ Field Athlete of the Year. 
  • Long Jump PR: 7.69m (25 ft. 2 3/4 in.)
  • High Jump PR: 2.14m (7 ft. 1/4 in.)

Joseph Taylor: (So.): Toledo OH (St. John’s Jesuit High School) | Sprints
Previous College: Duke

  • Finished fifth in the 400m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
  • Placed 2nd in the 400m at the ACC Outdoor Championships

Jarno Van Daalan: (Fr.): Rotterdam, Netherlands | Throws

  • 2024 Gold medal winner at the World Athletics U20 Championships in shot put
  • Runner-up in the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in the discus throw
  • Dutch U18 Champion in 2024 in both shot put and discus
  • Nominated for the European Athletics Rising Star Award and named Rotterdam Sports Talent of the Year in 2024.
  • Won a silver medal in the 2025 European Throwing Cup in shot put and bronze in discus.
  • Received gold in both shot put and discus at the 2025 European U20 Championships
  • Shot put PR: 21.08m (69 ft. 2 in.)
  • Discus PR: 66.31 (217 ft. 6 1/2 in.)

Daneil Wright: (Fr.): Kingston, Jamaica (Excelsior High School) | Hurdles

  • Finished 7th in the 400m Hurdles at the World Athletics U20 Championships.
  • Placed first in both the 4x400m and 110mH at the 2023 NACAC U18 Championships
  • 110mH PR: 13.35
