Kalina, Kriznik Advance to Doubles Main Draw at ITA All-American Championships
TULSA, Okla. – Alabama’s Vit Kalina and Matic Kriznik earned a spot in the ITA All-American Championships doubles main draw after securing a victory in the Qualifying Round of 16 on Tuesday.
The UA duo defeated Sean Daryabeigi and Lucas Andrade da Silva from South Carolina in straight sets to earn a spot in the top 32.
Kalina and Kriznik emerged victorious from an opening set tiebreaker, taking the first round with a 7-6(4) win. The UA duo would continue to push, securing a 7-5 decision in the second set for the win.
Kalina and Kriznik will face Ohio State’s Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima in the Round of 32 at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
