Anna Hall Claims World Title in the Heptathlon
The former Florida Gator opened with a 13.05-second run in the 100m hurdles, scoring 1,117 points, followed by a 1.89m high jump worth 1,093 points. She added a personal-best 15.80m in the shot put (915) and a 23.50 in the 200 (1,029), finishing the first day of the two-day event with 4,154 points and the overall lead.
On day two, Hall extended her margin with a 6.12m long jump (887) and another personal best of 48.13m in the javelin (824). She closed the competition with a decisive 2:06.68 in the 800m, good for 1,023 points, and sealed the victory with 6,888 points overall.
Hall placed in the top three in five of the seven events, highlighted by personal bests in the shot put and javelin and a season-best time in the 100m hurdles.
