Alabama Falls to UCF Saturday at the Crimson Classic
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball fell to UCF in four sets Saturday night at Foster Auditorium in the final match of the Crimson Classic.
Alabama (8-2) and UCF (9-3) split the first two frames, with the Knights taking the opener, 25-18, before the Crimson Tide responded with a 25-23 win in the second to make it a 1-1 match. In the third with Alabama trailing by one at 16-15, UCF closed out the set on a 9-2 run to win, 25-17, and take a 2-1 match lead. The Knights opened the fourth with seven unanswered points and held the Tide at arm’s length for the remainder, winning 25-16 to take the match in four sets.
NOTES
- Sophie Agee and Victoria Barrett led the team with 13 and 11 kills, their sixth and ninth matches this season with double-digit kills, respectively
