TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team will send five athletes to the ITA All-American Championships at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina, to begin its 2025 fall season.

Eva Shaw, Laura Putz, Kristyna Lavickova, and Mary Boyce Deatherage will be making their first appearance at the event, while Millie Bissett will be competing for her third consecutive year.

The ITA All-American Championships is the first step to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in November. Ten singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships, and four doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championships through the All-American Championships.

The pre-qualifying round will begin on Saturday and Sunday for both singles and doubles. All five Seminoles will compete in the pre-qualifying singles round. Putz and Lavickova will also compete in the pre-qualifying round for doubles.

With their ITA preseason No. 35 ranking, Shaw and Bissett will begin their doubles competition in the qualifying round that will start on Monday.

The main draw will begin on Wednesday, September 24, and go through Sunday, September 28.

Bissett looks to qualify for the main draw for a second consecutive season. In 2024, Bissett and doubles partner Maria Juliana Parra Romero earned three victories and advanced to the main draw round of 16.

Live stats and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
