ATLANTA – The University of Georgia volleyball team defeated 23rd-ranked Georgia Tech in five sets at McCamish Pavilion on Friday evening, 3-2 (23-25, 25-20, 27-29, 25-19, 15-10).
 
Georgia climbs to 8-2 on the season.
 
Fast Facts

  • Junior Bianna Muoneke led the team with 15 kills en route to her fifth double-double with 12 digs. Senior Estelle Haugen picked up her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs.
  • Sophomore MK Patten registered her fourth double-digit kill performance with 12. Senior Adriana Rhoda registered a season high 10 kills, her first double-digit kill match as a Bulldog. Redshirt-junior Kendal Kemp also registered a season high with eight kills.
  • Redshirt-sophomore libero Makena Lim led the team with 15 digs, her fifth double-digit dig match.
  • As a team, Georgia was one ace shy (9) of tying a season high. RedshirtTori Harper tied a season-high three aces while freshman Chloe Elarton set a season high with three.  
  • The third set featured 19 ties and the lead changed hands seven times, the most in a set this season in both categories.  

 
Up Next
Georgia begins Southeastern Conference play next week with a pair of road matches. The Bulldogs will travel to Knoxville for a matchup at No. 24 Tennessee on Wednesday. It’s then on to Lexington for a showdown at No. 6 Kentucky on Friday. Both matches will stream live on SEC Network+.
