Paul Breaks Alabama’s Career Goals Record, Paces Crimson Tide in 3-0 Victory over Lipscomb
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama soccer team (6-2-1, 0-1-0 SEC) captured a trio of goals against Lipscomb on Sunday, including Gianna Paul’s 34th career goal to become the Crimson Tide’s all-time leading goal scorer. In addition to Paul, Maddie Padelski and Larkin Thomason both scored in the match to secure the 3-0 victory against the Bisons (4-3-1, 0-0-0 ASUN)
Paul’s goal would come in the 65th minute of action after the Bisons failed to clear a cross from Cameron Silva. The goal broke a 20-year-old record set by Libby Probst, who tallied 33 goals at Alabama from 2002-05.
Padelski (7:07) was credited with the game-winning goal, her second this season as both she and Thomason (54:53) notched their third goals of the year.
Additionally, the win marked the Crimson Tide’s 200th home victory.
