LJUBLJANA, Slovenia – Alabama alum Filip Planinsek aided his home country of Slovenia to a 4-0 victory over the two-day event.

Planinsek captured a 6-1, 7-6(5) singles win over Franco Roncadelli to secure his first point for Slovenia on Friday. On Saturday, he would partner with Arizona State junior Bor Artnak to claim a doubles victory. The duo dropped just five games on their way to a dominant 6-3, 6-2, straight set win.

Planinsek is undefeated in the Davis Cup qualifier as the former UA standout captured a singles win over Indonesia (Feb. 2, 2025) in the opening round.

With the victory, Slovenia secured its place in the Davis Cup World Group 1 Qualifiers.
