GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – Sophomore Sophia Fullbrook finished in a tie for ninth place to lead the No. 16 Florida State women’s golf team to a tie for sixth place finish at the season-opening Folds of Honor Collegiate at the American Dunes Golf Club. Fullbrook earned her third career top-10 individual finish as she finished with a final round score of 74 and a three-round total of 228.

Fullbrook (tied for ninth) and sophomore Elin Pudas Remler (15th place) gave the top-20 ranked Seminoles two players in the top 15 of the final individual standings.

Texas A&M finished under par as a team in the final round and overtook Baylor to win the team championship. The Aggies defeated the Bears by three strokes. Anastasia Hekkonen of Kentucky earned medalist honors as she carded two under par rounds and finished at seven under par for the championship.

“There were a lot of positives for each of the members of our team in his event,” said head coach Amy Bond. “We were able to get our young players some great experience. Because we are as young as we are that experience will play dividends later in the season. We took a step forward this week, and I am very proud of that as we head into the Schooner next week.”

Fulbrook carded scores of 74-71-74 for a three-round total of three over par 219. She carded one birdie in the final round and seven birdies in the tournament. Fullbrook was never more than two strokes above par in either of the final two rounds of play.

She has now earned a pair of top-10 finishes in her first two appearances in the Folds of Honor Collegiate; tied for sixth place in 2024 and now tied for ninth place in 2025. She also finished in a tie for seventh place at the 2025 Florida State Match Up.

Sophomore Elin Pudas Remler, who made her Florida State debut, carded a team-leading 71 in Wednesday’s third round of play. She carded three birdies in the third round and was 2 strokes under par on her final 17 holes of the day. Pudas Remler was 1 stroke under par on her front nine and even par on her back nine to close the event with her best single round score of the tournament.

Pudas Remler’s score of 71 was the seventh score par of better in her 14 rounds during her collegiate career.

Florida State continues its four-match fall campaign at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 20-22) at the Belmar Golf Course in Norman, Okla. The Schooner Fall Classic is played annually to benefit the OK Kids Korral supported by the Toby Kieth Foundation. The Mission of The Toby Keith Foundation is to encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients and to support the OK Kids Korral, a home for children battling cancer.
