GAINESVILLE, Fla. — This year marks the 25th anniversary and 50th anniversary for the 1975- and 2000-Men’s Tennis teams who won the SEC Championship in those years.

Although no members of the 1975 team will be present for the game, they are still being honored for their commitment to the program and celebrate the 50 years of their SEC Championship win. The team shared the regular season title with the Georgia Bulldogs that year, but marked fifth regular season SEC title for the program.

The 2000 team also celebrates a milestone of 25 years since their SEC Championship win, where they beat the No. 18 Georgia Bulldogs 4-3. The Gators were ranked No. 3 in the country and held a record of 24-3 at the time of their victory. Former members of the team, Marcos Asse, Matt Behrmann, Troy Hahn, Jeff Morrison, Nathan Overholser and assistant coach Damon Henkel will all be in attendance for the game to celebrate the program’s seventh regular season SEC Championship and first SEC Tournament titles.

The teams in attendance will be recognized during Saturday’s Gator Walk taking place at 1:30 p.m. and at halftime during the game against USF, which starts at 4:15 p.m.
