Bulldogs Move Up Two Spots After Round Two of Carmel Cup
Pebble Beach, Calif. — The No. 23 Georgia men’s golf team shot 1-over in the second round of the Carmel Cup at Spyglass Hill Golf Course on Friday. The Bulldogs moved up two spots to sixth after 36 holes.

- The Carmel Cup is a six-count-five 54-hole stroke play tournament. Georgia is in sixth place after shooting 1-over in round two. No. 12 Vanderbilt remains in the lead at 22-under. Arkansas moved up four spots to second, followed by No. 1 Oklahoma State (-7) and No. 8 Oklahoma (-3) maintaining spots in third and fourth, respectively. TCU slid to fifth. No. 15 Texas Tech remains in seventh and Mississippi State fell to eighth.
- Senior Carter Loflin and freshman JD Culbreth led the Bulldogs again in the second round, shooting 2-under. Both Bulldogs are 2-under for the tournament and tied for ninth on the leaderboard. Loflin’s round featured five birdies.
- Sophomore James Earle bounced back, shooting 1-over in round two. He’s 7-over for the tournament.
- Sophomores Sungyeop Cho and Matt Moloney shot 2-over in the second round, sitting tied for 28th.
- Junior Grayson Wood shot 7-over in the second round.
- The Carmel Cup concludes with round three on Sunday, August 31. Georgia tees off at 9:30 a.m. PST.
