Men’s Basketball Sets 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men’s basketball team finalized its 2025-26 schedule as head coach Nate Oats announced the non-conference slate. The season will tip off on Nov. 3 as the Crimson Tide will face off against North Dakota inside Coleman Coliseum.

Alabama’s non-conference matchups include six home games, headlined by a marquee matchup against Purdue (Nov. 13). On the road, the Tide will travel to Las Vegas, New York and Chicago within the first month of the season, facing off against three opponents who played in the 2025 NCAA Tournament including Gonzaga, Illinois and St. John’s.

Tip times and television designations will be released at a later time. Fans interested in season tickets can fill out the season ticket interest form. Fans who fill out this form will receive exclusive presale access to season tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

2025-26 Schedule Highlights

  • Of the 13 games during Alabama’s non-conference schedule, the Tide will match up against seven opponents who played in the NCAA Tournament last season, including Purdue and Arizona who both reached the Sweet 16
  • Five of Alabama’s non-conference opponents were ranked in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25, featuring No. 1 Purdue, No. 5 St. John’s, No. 13 Arizona, No. 16 Illinois and No. 19 Gonzaga 
  • Head Coach Nate Oats will face off against two of the winningest coaches in college basketball history in Rick Pitino of St. John’s (885 wins, ranks No. 5 all-time) and Mark Few of Gonzaga (742 wins, ranks No. 22 all-time)
  • The Crimson Tide will match up against three conference champions from last season in St. John’s (Big East), Gonzaga (WCC) and Yale (Ivy League)
  • Oats will be coaching against three of his former assistant coaches, including Austin Claunch (UTSA), Bryan Hodgson (South Florida) and Antoine Pettway (Kennesaw State)
  • Alabama will play in six neutral site games, including two in-state with the C.M. Newton Classic in Birmingham against Arizona on Dec. 13 and a Dec. 21 matchup against Kennesaw State in Huntsville
  • For the second straight season, the Crimson Tide will travel to Las Vegas to play in the Players Era Festival during Thanksgiving week, playing Gonzaga in the first game and UNLV for the second contest
  • The non-conference schedule features teams from 10 different conferences
  • Including the SEC schedule, Alabama will face 10 opponents that are ranked in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25  
  • Prior to the season tipping off, the Tide will compete in two exhibition games, beginning at the Ballin in Boutwell vs. Florida State on Oct. 16 and Oct. 26 at Furman
