2025-26 ACC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board Announced
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the members of its 2025-26 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board, a dynamic group of leaders representing the voice and vision of more than 12,200 ACC student-athletes.
Florida State junior men’s tennis standout Azariah Rusher and Wake Forest redshirt senior football kicker Matthew Dennis will lead the board as Co-Chairs. In addition to his Co-Chair duties, Dennis will represent the ACC on the NCAA Division I SAAC, which reports directly to the NCAA Division I Council.
“At both the institutional and conference levels, ACC SAAC is a trusted partner in shaping policy and priorities,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “Their voices ensure our decisions reflect the needs, ambitions and values of the more than 12,200 student-athletes who define the ACC.”
Temple Landry of Stanford women’s gymnastics will serve as the ACC’s alternate representative to the NCAA Division I SAAC, while Jentry Lamirand of SMU women’s volleyball will take on the role of Communications Chair.
In its second year of expanded governance, the ACC has also appointed student-athletes to four ACC Standing Committees: Azariah Rusher (Florida State) – Media Committee; Jentry Lamirand (SMU) – Infractions & Sportsmanship Committee; Amelia Frey (Wake Forest) – Nominating Committee; and Daniel Kaelin (Virginia) – Legislation Committee.
Each of the ACC’s 18 member institutions nominates SAAC representatives, with Executive Board members elected through a conference-wide vote of their peers.
ACC SAAC serves as the essential bridge between student-athletes and conference leadership, ensuring their voices influence key legislative decisions, community engagement initiatives, and the overall student-athlete experience. Members not only address policy changes but also champion community service, uphold sportsmanship, and promote a positive image of collegiate athletics.
