Football Sees Four Players on Lombardi Award Watch List

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama football placed a total of four players on the watch list for the Vince Lombardi Award, the Rotary Club of Houston announced on Tuesday.

The list of Crimson Tide players includes Parker Brailsford, Tim Keenan III, Deontae Lawson and Kadyn Proctor. The four players are among 54 student-athletes from across the country on the watch list for the Lombardi, which is presented annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman who, in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi.

Alabama has had three Lombardi winners in program history including Cornelius Bennett (1986), Jonathan Allen (2016) and Will Anderson Jr. (2022).

Parker Brailsford

Center, Redshirt Junior

  • One of the nation’s most productive centers and offensive lineman overall
  • Started all 13 games for Alabama in 2024, earning second team All-American honors from the FWAA following his first season in Tuscaloosa
  • Did not allow a sack in his 777 snaps along the offensive line, according to Pro Football Focus
  • Responsible for 63 knockdown blocks as tallied by the UA coaching staff
  • A major factor in the middle of an offensive line that helped UA generate 33.8 points per game a season ago, finishing as a top-25 scoring offense
  • Helped open running lanes for a Crimson Tide rushing attack that averaged 173.8 rushing yards per contest

Tim Keenan III

Defensive Line, Redshirt Senior

  • A reliable defender in the middle of the Alabama defensive line
  • Played in all 13 games a season ago, including 12 starts
  • Recorded 40 tackles, including 7.5 for loss (-26 yards) and 2.5 sacks (-16 yards), to go with two quarterback pressures and one pass breakup
  • Received a 90.1 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus in 2024, the sixth-best mark among all interior defenders
  • Rated as one of the top returning defensive lineman by PFF for the 2025 season

Deontae Lawson

Linebacker, Redshirt Senior

  • A permanent team captain and the leader of the Crimson Tide defense
  • Made 11 starts for the Tide in 2024 prior to a season-ending injury
  • Recorded 76 tackles, including 6.5 for loss (-30 yards) and two sacks (-21 yards)
  • Added four pass breakups, an interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery to his stat line prior to his injury

Kadyn Proctor

Tackle, Junior

  • An imposing presence and two-year starter on the left side of the Tide offensive line
  • Started 11 games at left tackle for Alabama in 2024, garnering second team All-Southeastern Conference honors
  • Registered 54 total knockdowns across 639 snaps in his 11 games as a sophomore
  • Contributed to a rushing attack that averaged 173.8 yards per game and finished with 41 scores on the ground to lead the SEC and rank fifth nationally
