Bulldogs Release 2025 Cross Country Schedule
ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s 2025 cross country schedule has been released, according to an announcement from Director of Track & Field Caryl Smith Gilbert.
The slate includes three regular season meets before the postseason begins at the Southeastern Conference Championships in late October.
The Bulldogs open the season on Aug. 29 at the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, N.C. for the first time since the 2023 season. A month later the team will return to action at the Seminole Invite in Tallahassee, Fla. Then the Bulldogs will face a nationally ranked competition with a trip to Columbia, Mo. for Pre-Nationals to wrap up the regular season.
The SEC Championships return to Knoxville, Tenn. for the first time since 2011 on Oct. 31. The postseason slate rolls into November with the NCAA South Regional in Huntsville, Ala. on Nov. 14. Those teams or individuals who qualify will return to Columbia, Mo. to wrap up their season at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 22. This marks the first time in program history that the University of Missouri will play host to the meet.
The Bulldogs debut a new roster of 12 new faces across both the men and women squads for the 2025 season.
“While we have a couple more weeks of solid training to go, we are excited about starting the season at a spot where we hope to have close to optimal racing conditions,” head coach Adam Tribble said. “We will see where we are at the Covered Bridge Open before our trip to the Seminole Invite in Tallahassee a month later. Missouri will play host to the NCAA Pre-Nationals so obviously we hope to make two trips there this year. It’s been a long time since we have competed at Tennessee for SECs, and we will be aiming to get our postseason going in the right direction there. We will have to have a good showing at the NCAA South Regional to get an opportunity to return to Missouri later in November. As usual, we will face stiff competition at every stop, and I am looking forward to these teams gelling and making progress towards our goals.”
