Men’s Basketball Announces 18-Game SEC Schedule
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men’s basketball team unveiled its conference schedule for the 2025-26 season Wednesday afternoon as the Southeastern Conference announced its 18-game conference game slate.
A record 14 SEC teams, including Alabama, advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2025 as the Tide will face another daunting league slate. UA opens conference play at Coleman Coliseum against Kentucky on Jan. 3 before its first road contest on Jan. 6/7 at Vanderbilt.
Alabama will have home-and-home league matchups with Auburn (Feb. 7 at Auburn, March 7 in Tuscaloosa), Mississippi State (Jan. 13/14 at Mississippi State, Feb. 24/25 in Tuscaloosa) and Tennessee (Jan 24 in Tuscaloosa, Feb. 28 at Tennessee).
2025-26 SEC Schedule Highlights
- A record 14 SEC teams made the NCAA Tournament last season, surpassing the previous record of eight set in 2018, 2023 and 2024
- Including Alabama, the SEC had four teams that participated in the Elite Eight last season
- All three of Alabama’s home-and-home opponents this season appeared in last season’s NCAA Tournament teams
- Since head coach Nate Oats has arrived to Tuscaloosa, the Tide has won a league-best 75 SEC games
