Alabama Football’s Ryan Williams Selected to Paul Hornung Award Watch List
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s Ryan Williams has been named to the 2025 Paul Hornung Award Watch List, announced today by the Louisville Sports Commission.
Williams is among 46 players from around the country named to the preseason list. The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville (Ky.) Sports Commission. DeVonta Smith became the University’s first recipient of the Hornung when he took home the hardware following his standout 2020 season.

Wide Receiver, Sophomore
- A game-changing talent with the ball in his hands
- Garnered first team All-Southeastern Conference honors and Freshman All-SEC accolades from the league coaches in 2024
- Led Alabama in receiving yards (865) and receiving touchdowns (8) while finishing second in receptions (48) as a freshman
- His eight receiving touchdowns were the second-most in the SEC and tied for second-most among freshman wideouts in Division I
- Also contributed 48 rushing yards on four attempts with two touchdowns
- Added 120 punt return yards on 10 attempts as well as two kickoff returns for a combined 12 yards
