FSU No. 3 in Preseason Coaches Poll
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State soccer team has been voted No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top-25, the organization announced.
FSU is one of six ACC teams in the top 10 and one of eight in the top 15. The Seminoles are joined by No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 4 Duke in the top four. USC was No. 5. Another two ACC clubs are receiving votes for a total of 10 ranked or garnering votes.
Six of Florida State’s 10 ACC games are against preseason top-25 or receiving-votes teams. FSU will host No. 7 Stanford on October 16, RV Cal on October 19 and No. 10 Wake Forest on October 30. The Seminoles travel to No. 1 UNC (September 17), No. 2 ND (October 9) and No. 15 Virginia (October 23).
The 2025 season unofficially begins with an exhibition matchup against Alabama on Friday August 8, at 6 p.m. ET. The season will kick off against in-state rival Florida at home on Thursday, August 14, at 7 p.m. Both of those games, and the team’s first three overall, will be held at home at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
