14 Gators Named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 List
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Out of the 1000 players named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000, the Gators had 14 players on the list, covering seven different position groups. Players all over the country are scouted for this list to help showcase many of the talents that are eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft.
The 14 athletes set to represent the Gators in the East-West Shrine Bowl include defensive lineman Caleb Banks, offensive lineman Austin Barber, defensive back Jordan Castell, offensive lineman Damieon George Jr., edge George Gumbs Jr., tight end Hayden Hansen, offensive lineman Knijeah Harris, offensive lineman Bryce Lovett, edge Tyreak Sapp, offensive lineman Jake Slaughter, kicker Trey Smack, wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant, long snapper Rocco Underwood and wide receiver Eugene Wilson III.
Out of the 165 schools represented in the East-West Shrine Bowl, Florida is in a four-way tie for the 10th largest group of players named to the 1000 list. Of the SEC schools, Florida tied for ninth with the University of Kentucky and the University of Texas each having 14 players on the list as well.

The East-West Shrine Bowl takes place in Frsico, TX on Jan. 27, 2026 and serves as an opportunity for players to showcase their talents in front of NFL coaches and have access to NFL-level resources prior to the NFL Draft.
