GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida graduate manager Erin Coffel established herself as one of the most potent hitters in professional softball during the Athletes Unlimited Softball League’s (AUSL) inaugural season.

Coffel, who joined the Gators’ softball staff in 2024, was named the 2025 AUSL Most Valuable Player and the 2025 Hitter of the Year earlier this month.

The league’s MVP was decided by a vote from the AUSL’s Player Executive Committee, advisors, General Managers and Head Coaches, members of the AUSL broadcast team, beat writers and members of the press.

“Erin Coffel delivered an exceptional season that truly set the standard in our inaugural year,” AUSL Commissioner Kim Ng said in a release.

“Her power at the plate, consistency in the field, and relentless competitiveness made her a force in every game she played. Most importantly, she elevated everyone around her and played a vital role in helping propel the Bandits to compete for the AUSL Championship. We’re proud to recognize her as our first AUSL MVP.”

Coffel, who played for the Bandits, hit .410 (25-for-61) with five home runs, five doubles, four triples and a 1.435 OPS over 23 games.

She also held a league-best slugging percentage (.869) and on-base percentage (.566) and had a 19-game on-base streak.

2025 is Coffel’s second season as a professional athlete.

She played in the Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball Championship season and AUX in 2024.

Coffel will join Amanda Lorenz, Aleshia Ocasio, Jordan Roberts, Korbe Otis and Kendra Falby in the AUSL All-Star Cup which begins on August 2.

She will remain a graduate manager at Florida during the 2025-2026 season.
