GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida Associate Head Coach Owen Field adds General Manger to his title, Gators Gymnastics Head Coach Jenny Rowland announced Thursday.

Field is the first in collegiate gymnastics to add G.M. responsibilities, continuing Gators Gymnastics focus on being competitive, innovative and student-athlete centered.

This is a dual capacity leadership role combining high-level technical coaching responsibilities with strategic oversight of areas including NIL education, database systems, analytics and student-athlete development initiatives.

“I’m incredibly excited to share that Owen Field, our Associate Head Coach, has officially added the title of General Manager, making Florida the first NCAA gymnastics program in the country to recognize this role,” Rowland said. “This is huge step for our sport and for the Gators gymnastics program. Owen has been instrumental in our success, both in and out of the gym, and this expanded role will allow for even more strategic oversight in areas like NIL, athlete development and program operations. His leadership and vision continues to raise the bar and this move reflects the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics.”

The 2026 season is Field’s 11th with the Gator program. Prior to joining the Gators for the 2016 season, Field served roles as manager or volunteer coach during his six years with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also was a volunteer coach at Southern Utah for the 2011 season.

Field celebrated six Southeastern Conference team titles with the Gators, as the team advanced to the NCAA Team Final seven times, finishing runner-up in 2022 and 2023.

Field shared the 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2025 WCGA Region 5 Assistant Coach of the Year honor with Adrian Burde and Jeremy Miranda (2025).
