TALLAHASSEE –  The Florida State softball team posted a school record 17 players on the Academic All-ACC Team on Thursday afternoon. This is the third consecutive season that FSU has broken the school record for Academic All-ACC. 

 

Leading the way was Kennedy Harp and Isa Torres who both earned CSC Academic All-America honors and picked up Academic All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season. 

 

Amaya Ross received Academic All-ACC honors for the fourth consecutive season. 

 

Jahni Kerr and Hallie Wacaser earned their third consecutive Academic All-ACC honors while Angelee Bueno, Jaysoni Beachum, Madi Frey, Annie Potter and Makenna Reid each picked up their second Academic All-ACC honors. 

 

Krystina Hartley, Shelby McKenzie, Annabelle Widra, Julia Apsel, Addie DeLong and Jazzy Francik each picked up their first Academic All-ACC honors. 

 

The Seminoles finished the season as ACC Regular Season Champions with a 49-12 overall record and 18-3 record in ACC play. FSU hosted a NCAA Regional for the 11th consecutive season and fell to eventual national runner-up Texas Tech in the NCAA Super Regional.

 

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests and 20 percent of their team’s contests as a pitcher.
