Canada Reveals UF’s Incoming Freshman, Nyadieng Yiech, on U19 Roster

Florida’s Nyadieng Yiech, has been named to the 2025 Canada Basketball U19 roster.

TORONTO, Canada– Canada Basketball has announced a 12-player roster for the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup, featuring Florida’s incoming freshman, Nyadieng Yiech. Yiech earns the roster spot after training at Humber College in Toronto from June 22–28.
 
The 2025 Canadian Women’s U19 National Team roster includes: Jasmine Bascoe, Mila Holloway, Avery Howell, Olivia Leung, Agot Makeer, Brooke McLeod, Ify Nwaobi, Rachael Okokoh, Cearah Parchment, Syla Swords, Marie Grace Talle, Nyadieng Yiech.
 
The U19 National Team will be led by head coach Marlo Davis. Davis returns as head coach after leading Canada to a silver medal at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2024.
 
Team Canada will initiate play in Brno, Czechia, and tip off against Portugal at 8:30 a.m. ET on July 12 before taking on Nigeria the following day, at 5:45 a.m. ET. Group play concludes for Canada against China on July 15 at 5:45 a.m. ET. The round of 16 will follow on Wednesday, July 16, with teams and times TBD.
 
The FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup features the world’s top 16 U19 national teams, who qualify based on their previous year’s finish at the biennial U18 zone championships.
