Three Noles Named to All-ACC Academic Team
TALLAHASSEE– Florida State men’s golf student-athletes Tyler Weaver, Gray Albright and Carson Brewer and were named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the team, players must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have competed in at least 50 percent of competition in 2024-25.
Majoring in sport management, Weaver earned his second nod to the All-ACC Academic Team, was the runner-up at the 2025 ACC Tournament and posted six top 10 finishes as a sophomore. He was the Cabo Collegiate champion and earned All-ACC honors after being named All-America honorable mention by the Golf Coaches Association of America and Golf Week.
Following his second year in the Garnet and Gold, Weaver helped Team International to a victory in the Arnold Palmer Cup, contributing two points. He also qualified for the 125th U.S. Open, where he was fourth among amateurs at 9-over, 149. He is currently competing for Team England at the European Amateur Team Championship.
Albright closed out his collegiate career finishing 23rd in PGA Tour University. He registered three top 10 finishes in his fifth year, finishing second at the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational in April.
Following his career, Albright made his debut on the PGA Americas Tour at the Explore NB Open.
Albright made his second appearance on the All-ACC Academic Team while pursuing a post bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary social science.
In his first year in action, Brewer tied for 22nd at the 2025 NCAA Championships and registered three top 10 finishes. He set a career low, 65 at the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational where he placed sixth. Brewer is majoring in social science.
