Match Times and TV Information Announced for AVCA First Serve
Florida’s Aug. 22 and Aug. 24 matches will be nationally broadcasted.
Florida’s season-opener against Stanford on Friday, Aug. 22 is slated for 9 p.m. on FOX. Sunday’s Aug. 24 match against Pitt will air on ESPN at 1:00 p.m.
“We are excited to get the 2025 women’s season started with four days of great college volleyball,” says AVCA CEO Dr. Jaime Gordon. “The arenas will be packed, and we are grateful to have FOX Sports, ESPN, and the Big Ten Network bringing the matches to a global audience.”
The field for this year’s AVCA First Serve includes five participants that made the final eight in the 2024 NCAA Championship, including three semifinalists and last year’s champion, Penn State. Nine of the teams were ranked in the top 20 of the final AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Poll, and the 10th team, Vanderbilt, is kicking off its first season of competition as it restarts its program. Limited tickets for all four days are still available for purchase through Ticketmaster.
