Nate Oats Named Court Coach with USA U19 National Team
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats will be part of the coaching staff for the 2025 USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team training camp this week in Colorado Springs, Colo.
USA Basketball announced the 33 athletes and set of coaches expected to participate at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Training camp begins June 14 with the 12-member roster expected to be announced before the team departs for the 2025 FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Switzerland.
- The 2025 USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team will be led by Arizona’s head coach Tommy Lloyd and assisted by Texas Tech’s Grant McCasland and Notre Dame’s Micah Shrewsberry
- Oats is one of three coaches serving as a court coach during training camp, joined by North Carolina’s Hubert Davis and Kentucky’s Mark Pope
- Entering his seventh season at Alabama, Oats has an overall record of 145-63 during his time at UA
- In the last two seasons Oats led Alabama to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances for the first time in program history
- For the second straight season, Alabama set the program record for most points scored in a single season with 3,355 points as the Tide led the nation in scoring, averaging 90.7 points per game
