Florida State Plays Host To Georgia on Dec. 2 in ACC/SEC Challenge

Last Updated: June 12, 2025By

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State will play host the Georgia on December 2, 2025 at the Donald L. Tucker Center in the third annual ACC/SEC Challenge. It marks the second time in the third edition of the challenge that the Seminoles will play the Bulldogs. The teams faced each other in 2023 in an ACC/SEC Challenge game also played on the Seminoles’ home court in the capital city of the state of Florida.

Broadcast information for the ACC/SEC slate of games and game times will be released at a later date by the conference offices.

Florida State and Georgia have played 32 times over their men’s basketball history but not since 1981.  The Seminoles own a 19-13 advantage with the first meeting coming in 1948.  The two met at least once a year over a stretch from 1954-1966 and not again until a midseason tournament in 1980 followed by the regular season Seminole home game in 1981.

Head coach Luke Loucks’ first Florida State team will begin pre-season practice in September in anticipation of an early November season opening slate of games.

Season Tickets are scheduled to go on sale at the end of June.
