TALLAHASSEE – Florida State Head Coach Amy Bond, who led the Seminoles to a program-best third place finish in the NCAA Championship Finals, has been named the South Region Coach of the Year by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. Bond led Florida State to a No. 2 ranking by the WGCA, a No. 4 ranking by the NCAA , and to the first ACC Championship in school history in 2025.

In 2025, Bond has been named the ACC Coach of the Year, the South Region WCGA Coach of the Year, and was a finalist list for the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride. Bond has been named as the ACC Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2025.

In a history-making season, the Seminoles won their first-ever ACC championship, earned a No. 1 seed in an NCAA regional for the first time, and finished the season in third place in the NCAA Championship Finals. They finished the season tied for the most team championships won in the country with six, led the nation with seven top-three team finishes, and lost to only 12 teams across 11 events.

Bond has coached the last two ACC Golfers of the Year Mirabel Ting in 2025 and Lottie Woad in 2024. Both Ting and Woad have earned First-Team All-American honors by both the WCGA and Golfweek and both players earned All-ACC honors in both of the last two seasons.

Bond has coached Ting to two National Player of the Year awards in 2025 – the ANNIKA Award and the WGCA Ping Division I Player of the Year.

Earlier this season Bond was presented with the prestigious Gladys Palmer Meritorious Service Award by the WGCA. The award is given in recognition of outstanding service above and beyond the call of duty and is the most prestigious award presented by the WGCA.

In the last five seasons, her Seminoles have been ranked No. 1 in the nation, won three NCAA Regional Championships, achieved the best NCAA finish in school history, won 13 tournament championships, had five different players named All-American honors and four earn All-ACC honors.

Bond is the winningest coach in Florida State history. The Seminoles are one of only four schools who have played in each of the last nine NCAA Championship Finals. The Seminoles, who have appeared in each championship event since 2016, have advanced to match play in 2022, 2023 and 2025 and have finished in the top five at the NCAA Championship Finals in twice in the last three seasons.
