Women’s Swimming Adds UVA Transfer Aspen Gersper

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women’s swimming and diving program has announced the addition of Aspen Gersper to its 2025-26 roster. The rising sophomore transfers to Gainesville after spending her freshman year at the University of Virginia.
 
A Boca Raton, Fla. native, she makes her return to the Sunshine State following a season with the five-time defending NCAA champions. During her time with the Cavaliers, she competed in two duals and two invitationals, winning the 100 free at the Cavalier Invite (49.91).

The Gators’ signing class for 2025 now totals 16, with Gersper becoming the seventh newcomer to join Florida since the program announced its initial signees last November. At that time, five female swimmerstwo male swimmers, and two divers committed to the 2025-26 season. Since then, Maria Fernanda Garcia Sixtos, Beatriz Bezzera, Nil Cadevall, Alex Cohoon, Charlie Hustison and Alexa Fung have also pledged to join the Gators in August.
